I think I’m happy…
If you haven’t heard… allow me to be the bringer of GREAT news. Here’s a hint:
KRISTEN IS A GODMOTHER!!! Congratulate her the next time you bump into her. That’s freakin’ awesome Kris. Maybe it means a lot to me especially because I can relate being the Godfather of JACK (I think I’ve mentioned that once or twice on here…). Oh, I didn’t even say WHO she was the Godmother of. Welcome to the world Mr. Harrison Thomas Brennan. Do you think that this little guy will grow up with a bit of a Harry Potter theme??
So what’s the deal lately… My life is busy to say the least (what else is freakin’ new). I have been really going non-stop. For example, Saturday entailed me getting up @ 5:30am and helping Papa Leone with the next stage of our Vino da Leone Process. From there I took off @ 7:15am to meet the Rent CREW @ the Big Y in Manchester. We tail-gated all morning (Breakfast Piles were a SUCCESS!!!) and then went into the game. Three hours later we all parted ways. After a quick stop @ Margaritas w/ Timmer, I was headed to Somerville, MA to celebrate Zippa’s birthday. (By the way, nice work with the Surprise Laurel. You really pulled it off with flying colors. 100% success. ) After rocking out with those guys on Saturday and part of Sunday, I got home and went to bed shortly after. I found myself back to work on Monday… worked out when I got out of work, ate quickly at home, and then had rehearsal until 9:00pm. Just one thing to the next!!
It really hit me this morning how much I HAVEN’T been home. This morning I was just grabbing a quick glass of juice before I took off when my dad walked into the kitchen. He says, “So how’ve ya been?” I didn’t know where he was going with this. He continued, “I barely see you these days.” I spoke up right away to argue the point, but then realized that he was dead on. I haven’t been home. It’s not a good or a bad thing… this is just a busy time. Children of Eden will go up in November. Perhaps my work schedule will lighten up if I get a boost out of the mailroom (I’m putting away 45+ hours everyweek). Marching Band will end around Thanksgiving. So I suppose everything is just piled up at once. December will bring some relief. Maybe a Xmas mass or two if I can convince my church that I was once good at the trumpet.
What’s in store this week. Looking forward to our FIRST night game at the RENT Thursday night. People are saying we have a legitimate chance against Pitt. BRING IT ON!! I think Friday will bring me to my friend’s place in Norwich although we haven’t figured out the details just yet. Saturday brings me to Rocky Hill for a MB competition… Sunday we’re meeting at Tailgaters in Derby @ noon and then I’m headed to see my buddy Ian in a show with some friends from Naugatuck. Doesn’t look like my schedule is going to lighten up anytime soon…
Handling it one day at a time…
All roads must lead to somewhere, I wish I didn’t sell my car…
