Nothing is an accident... we are free to have it all...

Yeah, yeah... I'm sorry but I'm still dealing with my AIDA fallout. So in a way, you have to deal with me dealing with it. Sorry! (Not that anyone reads this anyway!) I still can't get over everything that happened. I'm glad that there are pictures and little clips online because sometimes I can't believe that it's all over with. But what's exciting to me is what's next. The big unknown... Again, quoting "Fortune Favors the Brave":

We are what we want to be, its in ourselves to rise or fall.

So what IS next? Well, that is honestly something that I'm not ready to share with everyone. I don't even REALLY know what's next but I DO know what I'd like to be next. Now that Aida is all done with I do plan on keeping myself in decent shape for the summer... I'm just going to enjoy a few of the FINER things in life. Trips up North with Michelle... Beer tastings... BBQs... Perhaps a trip to the shore... this is going to be one of the best summers yet. The same way I felt there was a world beyond every bend in the Nile... just waiting to be discovered (sorry... sorry... trying to all of the quotes out of my system).

One of the things that I'm not afraid to admit is trying to branch out to other CT theatres... I've primarily stuck with the Warner Theatre and the Thomaston Opera House. But there are a few others out there that I've yet to audition for... it'd be fun to try my luck at a new house. Unfortunately, before any of that happens, I need to #1: find a show that I'm interested in... and #2: Get some structured hours with my job...

The next few weekends are a great start to the summer... for starters, this weekend is an event at the Warner Theatre called SPRING FLING. They've asked Gia (Aida) and myself to sing "Elaborate Lives" and "Written in the Stars" for the Warner Donors. I'll tell ya, I know it's only been a few days, but I really miss performing this show. I'm really looking forward to singing those two songs with Gia!! And just when you think it can't get any better, we're all heading over the Quinns for some Chipolte Pulled Pork and Fiesty Lime Salsa. Yes, it's the same thing that I crocked for the Aida cast party, but hardly any of us got some!! And rumor has it that Jules and Alex may come by too.

Thursday night Mich made some AWESOME quesadillas for dinner... and breakfast was again, rockstar. But for now, bring on the weekend... I'm definitely ready.
