Trying to make lemonade the best way I know how...
I feel bad for some people. They go into
everyday life with nothing but complains. Rather than ask them,
What are you up to today?? Or
What's new?? - You feel like asking them,
So what's wrong today? It blows my mind how people can live that way. I see it day in and day out @ work. What a crappy way to live! Don't get me wrong. No one really likes to get up everyone morning @ 5:30am...
That's not what I mean.
It's the
complaining that occurs once you are there. It's almost as if people get a thrill when
"something doesn't go wrong." As if they expect everything to just screw up all the time. Now if I notice like someone is having a bad day, then most of the time I'll try to make an
honest effort to turn their day around.
Make them laugh. Make a joke. Something. And if that doesn't do the trick then I just let anything they say roll right off my shoulder. Just because someone is having a bad day, doesn't mean that they can bring me down too. So I try to do what I can with those
lemons that they throw @ me...
Work today was simply what you just read. No not everyone was moopy. But it's today was just a weird day.
Blame it on the weather. Blame it that it's Wednesday. I don't know. After talking to one of my co-workers today, DJ, things just turned my day around. If you don't find the good in life where you currently stand: It's going to be a long life.
Enjoy every moment...
Now let me explain this picture. The ESPN Mail Services Morning Crew. Myself, DJ, and Rick. We are all their before 7am to get the Mailroom going for the day. Split up the newspapers, pick up the post office mail, drop off some interoffice things. We're pretty non-stop before 9am. Which was the basis of our motto:
We do more before 9am, than you do all day.
And ironically, we were the ONLY ones in the mailroom to dress up: A Die Hard Husky Fan, the Slim Jim Man, and a hippy. Imagine going to ESPN only to have these
crazy clowns deliver your morning paper.
Only @ ESPN. I love it...
So after a solid workout and a trip to the Health Fair they had today... I'm ready for a shower and relaxation. DEFINITELY looking forward to tomorrow. Kristen and I are going to check out the
Barenaked Ladies @ the Bushnell. Nothing like a little Subway for dinner and some live acoustic music. So make sure I'm nice and rested for that...
Good night everyone... until the next blog makes it's way to this page. Peace.
Some quotes are better left unsaid...
