Stop and smell the roses...Things at work are a little slow this week so I'll take a moment and write some stuff in this here blog. I think three people in this whole world MIGHT have a link to this page. It helps me get stuff off my mind. Throwing it out in this little corner of cyber space makes me feel like I'm not the only one dealing with it. I just started a little blog action on
myspace but this allows you to write a little bit more. Welcome to my World... long time no see.
Now that the holidays are almost about over with New Years waiting in the wings, I had a chance to reflect on everything that went on.
WHOLE family... I mean the WHOLE family came down. Chris, Brett, Jazzy, Jade, Mike, Care, Tom, Jack, Mickey, Rob, Beth, and even Belle came for a bit on Monday. I mean, EVERYONE was there - our house was PACKED! It was great. It wasn't a big gift or a "wholly cow this happened" sort of Xmas... just seeing everyone and it was perfect. I used some $$$ that I got to make our internet WIRELESS at our house, the rest will go towards the final car payment on PRESTO and car insurance. Hope the car holds out until the summer. With 110,000 miles on it, and the ABS light on, I'm not looking to pump a few hundred bucks in there to get whatever fixed. I have my eyes on either a Nissan or a Scion. I'm months from deciding so anything can change...
So we had a lot of good stuff happen over the holiday, Mike made the family comedown and surprise us ALL on Christmas night (THANKS MIKE!!!!!), Robbie brought the latest version of his CD, Stumble Inn (BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THIS ONE!), and Chris and Brett got to stay a few extra days with us. Nice that they could kind of relax for a bit there! And with the good...comes the bad. I got a major dose of it this morning, not really understanding the severity of it until I was thinking about it on my way to work. (2) Major things on my mind right now. I know I should feel free to write about them but, I need to respect other people's privacy. Keep those two "things" in your prayers. I know they are in mine.
Annabelle and I have logged away over 7 months since we "met" back in Cape Cod last May. I don't even know where the time has gone. If you asked me that we would have lasted this long, I would have NEVER believed it. But here we are Dec. 25 (7 months) and going strong. I'm a very lucky man to have her in my life. She's supportive, understanding, and anyone that can deal with me for more than two weeks is commendable. As busy as I am sometimes, I hardly feel that I'm playing the role of the boyfriend up to par, but she's always there supporting what I do. Thanks Belle ;)
What's in store for 2006. Who knows... my friends are getting married left and right, who's to say who else will get hitched. Congrats to Brendan & Steph, Jeff & Steph, Kate & Casey, and Rachel & Jason. My age will be equal to the value of a quarter (25 years old!)... I hopefully will feel better about my job and become more comfortable... Passion Play will have a different feel to it this year as I have taken on the responsibility of Co-Director... Jekyll and Hyde will go up for THREE weekends - Opening on February 25... Musically,
Robbie Gil's FULL-LENGTH album will finally make it's debut: STUMBLE INN... the
Naughty Jungle of Love will be putting out a new FULL-LENGTH album as well... both are expected to be released in February/March.
Personally, we'll see where I am monitarily. I'd like to go back to school for my Masters in marketing... If I can, I'd like to find a roommate and move out... We'll see what happens. Only if I can afford it.
As for now, it's off to the Raposos for our annual New Years Eve BASH! I've been going to 7 years and I don't see myself stopping any time soon. Have a safe new years everyone. I wish I could be there too.
All the best in 2006.
