To build, you must start from the beginning...
Pardon my profound opening line. It makes sense to me right now.
Alright first things first:
I have the cutest GODSON...EVER!!!
Come oooooooon... This kid rockin out for his FIRST Halloween!
Looking forward to seeing you Jack in a few weeks!
Man, I don't know where to begin. Life is one interesting ride. And these past few months has been no exception. About a month or so ago things were just kinda chugging along. Nothing really great... nothing really bad. Just middle of the road so to speak. Things @ work were doing fine... Mailroom was kickin', I was active in Judo, living @ home... things were fine. You know, like if someone asks you:
"Hey, how are ya? And you answer:
"Alright." So you aren't GREAT but you can't really think of any one particular thing that's bothering you. It's really not the greatest way to live...
So after dealing with the adventures of living @ home, by myself, with not many people around...things lately are doing BETTER than alright. I mean, about a week ago I was on Cloud Nine. I was having FUN @ work... The Yankees were in the World Series after an amazing series with the Red Sox... I even HAD A TICKET to GAME SEVEN of the WORLD SERIES!!! UConn Mens Basketball was RIGHT around the corner... I couldn't really explain what or why everything was happening... it just all seemed to click @ once. As if somewhere at somepoint, I must have done something right to deserve all that I was getting. Truly Amazing Professor.
I've been doing all that I can do in order to maintain that awesome feeling. It's tough. One thing I can say is that since it's been so long since I've been so happy with things, I have an amazing appreciation for it. By simply being in a good mood. It's the small things that add up to an amazing high. I can't even tell you the last time I felt this happy about life. Well, it's not for this Blog. Sorry readers.
Work today was funny. Only @ ESPN can I get away with wearing a shirt that says "I AM TEAM UCONN" along with a cowboy hat (straight from San Antonio), and a blue and white face. It was GREAT! I got so many compliments from various people including Sean Salisbury and Jay Harris. Who knows... perhaps people will remember me in the future when I start applying to other departments. It's all in WHO you know...
So as the clock strikes midnight... I really need to shut these eyes... UConn vs. Western Michigan tomorrow and I will be up BRIGHT and EARLY deep frying chicken @ 6:00am. Whoa nelly.
I have a lot of things swirling right now in the brain... but I've already said most of them tonight. And this Blog isn't the place for them... and this certainly isn't the time. I just hope and pray. Let's leave it @ that... I leave you with this:
I have hope.
To love, and to be hurt often, and to love again--this is the brave and happy life. -J.E. Buchrose
