Someone said to me...
"August is just one big Sunday." They hit the nail right on the head. Let me explain:
You start EVERY summer with the thought in mind...
"This summer is going to be different. I'm going to get so much done. Just look at how much time I have." Then you fall into your work schedule and bit by bit you lose some motivation. Then you realize that it is August 1st and you haven't done NEARLY as many things as you had thought you would. Hence August is full of you trying to make ends meet and finish those goals that you set....Just like Sundays.
SO let's see...holy COW! I haven't written on my page since August 6th?!? 8 days for those that are counting...9 for those that are trying to be smart asses BECAUSE IT'S AFTER MIDNIGHT...give me a break.
Well, it seems as if I blinked and the summer has come and gone. I was able to hit some goals. Let's see...what did I accomplish: I was able to maintain a decent workout schedule and eat right. I worked a job that was hardly a job at all. I played more piano than I have since my glory days of six years old with Mrs. Harris on Roseanna Dr. I helped built an up and coming rock group's website,
Ahab Seamus. I created another website for a local Judo club, the
Gentle Way Judo Club. And I have officially snuck into the Wide World of Blogging...
I think I'll wait a little while to give my
Summer-in-Review...
Michigan... What a trip. I had a GREAT time with my cousin and aunt and uncle. I think my cousin Nick said it best:
"We crammed about a week and a half of stuff in four days." Clubs...Bars...Eating In...Eating Out...Golf...Putt-Putt...Canada trip...so many laughs and so many good times. You can bet that those pictures will make there way to this blog site when I get my hands on them...An EXCELLENT way to end the summer. Lots of talk about a possibly trip to Italy next summer. Oh nelly wouldn't that be something. But right now, my eyes are bigger than my stomach...See, the car I'm drive is on it's last legs...I'm DEFINITELY doing Spring Break this year...and now Italy is in the mixture. Anyone have a spare $10,000?
So as the clock rolls closer to 1:00 AM and my friend Anna works her tail off...yup, she's working...My eyes are getting heavier... and tomorrow is another day. I have three days to get ready for school...Preseason starts on Sunday @ 8 AM. It's not easy being a part of the Uconn Marching Band - otherwise known as the PRIDE OF CONNECTICUT...anywho... I'm off. ;)
