All I can handle, is ONE day at a time...
Back from an intense Spring Weekend. Cookouts, drunkeness, amazing times, and my friend is still alive. A little bit of everything this weekend.
Thursday:
Started things off on Thursday at Hour of Happiness, otherwise known as Happy Hour. After some tackful time wasting a la Family Guy, aka my new best friend, Kristen and I ended up at the Pub around 9:30pm. Thanks to our bartender, Matt...we were on our way after a few rounds. Then it was off to meet up with the group and make the trek to Kill-a-Keg @ Carriage House. Fireworks, Police, and about 4,000 drunken UConners. Quite the site...But it was a good time no doubt...after waiting a few hours to sober up, I dropped off Kristen and was soon in my humble abode.
Friday:
So @ roughly 7:37am...I was awaken by my old roommate, Mike, who made the trip from UMass to celebrate in the weekend's festivities. (He'll come up later.) He helped me prepare for the picnic I was throwing that day. Killians, Bud Light, BBQ, and lots of people...not to mention the weather was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! So the day went as planned... food, fun, friends...We dragged the furniture outside... it was surreal. So after the day-afternoon-night took its course, I "fell asleep" around 11-12. I'd rather not go into detail... BUT, let me sum up. I'm very glad my friend Mike is still alive. Unfortunately, his car barely resembles an automobile. I just hope each and every person involved can take a good look at the situation. As Mike put it: Lesson learned.
The Hard Way.
Saturday:
The day started at Kristen's brunch. I don't think I've seen so many people in her living room at one time. We gather to recover from the previous night...share stories...and get again, more Family Guy (No, it doesn't get old.) Most of the day was spent relaxing...which included the movie,
Confidence. Then
it was soon off to Walden again for our version of X-Lot. I was still a little shaken up from the night before so let's just say drinking wasn't high on my priority list. But I had fun all the same. In fact, here's a quality shot of me and my little brother, Kate. (she's my little Brother because we're both in a co-ed fraternity...are you following?)
So since the rain had stopped, I decided to ride along with some of my fellow Beta Rhoers to X-Lot.
What a site! We had the random run-ins...Maggie takes the cake though. I don't think I have ever feared for my life until Maggie Sarrow. (I'm just kidding, Maggie... just as long as you had fun!) And no, I failed to make the Daily Jolt. They take pictures all weekend of those crazy kids at UConn...
See for yourself!
Sunday:
I returned to the working world to face my
WEEK OF HELL head on. I don't think I've ever had so man group projects in my life. But..come Finals Time... I'll be kicking back. Don't you worry.
The hourglass of my life at UConn is almost up...Where did the time go...
Back into the Wide World of being a MIS Major...
