The Worldwide Leader in Sports...

After a stint of not writing in over a week. I'm back. Back...and employed. That's right...as of August 11th, 2003, I started my career as an ESPN employee. The only position available was a spot in the Mailroom. Listen...It's a foot in the door. That's the #1 benefit. I get to re-apply to other positions within the Company after 6 months while I continue to work in the Mailroom. So let's see now... That would make January 11th, 2003 my 6 month mark. I'm not sure where exactly I'd like to go either. There's a HUGE MIS department...but there's also departments like: .COM, MUSIC, PRODUCTION...who knows what'll be available then. So I'm aiming to keep my nose clean, work hard, be on time...and we'll hope for the best. For now, it's Mailroom City. The other people in the Mailroom are real cool though too. I'm looking forward to getting to know them better. I mean, it's only my third day and I feel like I've known these guys for weeks. And the Benefits... I almost feel like the Godfather in Old School. Discounts here, Free gym membership...it's real nice.

So other than my life revolving around ESPN, what else is going on you ask? I guess general it is alright. I had a great time with a bunch of friends that came out to my house for a cookout. Although it rained we found a way to enjoy each other's company and eat tons of food in the process. The baby bunnies got PLENTY of attention and it was GREAT seeing everyone too.

Then there's that other thing in my life.

Well, I don't know where things are going to be perfectly honest. It hurts as much as it did the first day...but I just try and take it the only way I know how...one day at a time. Not a day goes by without it crossing my mind. But, I can't let it get me down. God has a plan for everything.

Time for bed...6:30am is getting closer and closer...
