Long overdue... and so much to tell...
So I haven't written in this thing since BEFORE the Big East Tournament... my apologies for those two people that read this. haha... It's been tough getting to a computer... I've been ALL over the place. From New York City with the Big East Tournament...to Spokane, Washington for the First Round of the NCAA Tournament. Now with only a few days to get my life back in order... we are off to San Antonio, Texas for the Sweet 16. Truly Amazing...
Talk about things to be thankful for... I was talking to Ian while we were boarding our chartered flight. I told him,
"You know, my trumpet has given me so much to be thankful for...from UCMB to Homecoming Status...to Pep Band...from Spokane to San Antonio." We just had to laugh out loud. Oh my gosh... how are we so lucky. Ian and I are definitely rockin' out with this Karma... Keep it going...
So this week was great... I got to spend some quality time with my friend Ben last week down in New Jersey. I made the trip with Stacey and Danielle...it was definitely a nice few days... Deli Sandwiches...Green Coronas(a la St. Patrick's Day)...Movies Movies Movies...Phase 10... awesome time...minus the New Jersey smell. And Ben if you are reading this... you'll be back in CT in no time... Once the season starts... it'll fly by...
So from NJ we took off for Spokane, WA - Home of the Infamous Timothy Cassell and the Satelette Diner. I had a BLAST. Rockin' out in room 1106 with some of my closest friends in the Pep Band and then dancing the night away with the Timmer, Matt, and UConn cheerleading squad... I never thought I would put, "New Kids on the Block" and "Good time" in the same sentence...but good ol' Banana Joe's was playing some of the classics. MC Hammer...New Kids... although I was dissappointed Vanilla Ice didn't make it into the mix...
Congratualtions to the UConn Mens Basketball team and Coaching Staff on an excellent game against Stanford. Seeing the look on Josh Childress's face after Ben Gordon's reverse layup was
PRICELESS...Excellent momentum heading into Emeka stomping grounds...lookout Texas...UConn is coming to town.
Right after the Stanford game, we loaded a Chartered flight from Spokane to Hartford...Best flight I have ever taken...and we get to do it again on Tuesday.
Now I have 72 hours to get my life back in order...then I'm off again...A-REE-HA!!!
Welcome back from Break everyone!!!
And that's why they call it...March Madness.
