Less than two weeks away...

Several months ago, I auditioned for the Magic Tree House tour. I didn't know whether I would accept the position if in fact I was asked to join the troop. But I went for it either way. Whatever happens... happens, right? As luck would have it, I unfortunately, was not asked to join. I was in the middle of my run of Beauty and the Beast so I had plenty on my plate to think about...

...then came my audition for All Shook Up. I knew a lot of the production staff, not to mention the actors that were going out to audition. My good friends, Ian and Emily were trying out, not to mention Michelle. Again, luck wasn't on my side. But this was my own decision. See... I just started a new job and I didn't want to get off on the wrong foot. Yes, I might have been able to "make it work" but I knew the right thing for me to do was to drop out of the cast. There were other ways for me to contribute, be it building sets or even working crew back stage. I settled for crew, but am really having a great time with this group. But, it's not a secret that I wish I was on stage. So with All Shook Up... what was next for me?

AIDA.

Several months ago after my Magic Tree House audition, I started working for the upcoming season of shows. In the back of my mind, I thought AIDA might be next for me... but it was a long ways off.

Back in November after my All Shook Up audition, I continued to work towards any upcoming shows that I might go out for. In the back of my mind, I thought AIDA might be next for me... but it was several months away.

Here I am... January 27th. And I'm less than two weeks away from my AIDA audition. I'm hoping for the best. All of my countless hours of singing in the car... studying lines at work... watching clips on the internet... will all come into play when I stand before three people who will decide my fate. It'll be tough if I don't come out with the part that I'm shooting for. But who knows... maybe looking past AIDA, there's another show that I'm not even considering right now.

...time will tell.
