4 days and counting...Time seems to be just flying by lately... As I put earlier in my previous entry, it felt like I had all this time before the big AIDA audition. I can't believe the auditions are this early... FEBRUARY!! For a show in MAY!! That's 3 solid months of rehearsals. But I guess with a show of this magnitude, you need a lot of time to put it together.
You know, now that I think about it... I guess I'm kinda glad that auditions are this early. I bought the soundtrack last March and really haven't stopped listening to it. I've been practicing and practicing and now it's time to put up, or shut up. No matter what happens next week, it'll be exciting to get the ball rolling on this show. When I was in the ensemble for Miss Saigon, it was one of the best theatre experiences of my life. I have high expectations for AIDA, and I think a lot of other people do as well.
Ok, ok... enough about the freakin' audition. This weekend also marks the closing of ALL SHOOK UP at the Thomaston Opera House. What a great show that's been!! Don't believe me?
Check out the REVIEW!!The cast is solid... very very talented and I've had a blast on the crew. Definitely worthy of 4.5 stars!! I can't imagine watching this show for the first time... I've seen it 9-10 times, and there are parts that are still freakin' hysterical!!
("I'VE NEVER FELT THIS WAY BEFORE!!") Here's to a great closing weekend cast and crew!!
COME ON EVERYBODY!!!
