I have to fit in a few words tonight...
Alright, no excuses this time around. I have a new layout, all sorts of things going on in my life... if I go too long without getting something down I DEFINITELY going to forget to write about certain events. Ok, enough jibber, let's get to it.
LAKE COMPOUNCE WAS AWESOME!! Thanks to Matt and Timmer, this was just a ridiculous night on so many levels. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you: ESPN the Picnic. And this being the 25th anniversary year, ESPN would be going on all cylinders... and boy were they ever. Food, rides, games... They even hired professional pool plaer, Jeanette Lee to challenge ANYONE that dared take on the Black Widow. Unbelievable. And don't even get me going on the FIREWORKS!!!! !@#$!#@$!#$ Crazy Amazing Crazy. Tim, Matt and I rocked out on some rides including Down Time and Blouder Dash... then to end the night, Tim and I took on the Sky Coaster. INTENSE. Just a freakin awesome night...
UCONN FOOTBALL is BACK!!! We're talking Big Ben's Blue Grill, early mornings at the BIG Y in Manchester, cracking beverages @ 8:30 in the morning, and endless rounds of flipcup. We had a awesome time tail-gating last week. I can't tell you how great it is to see everyone again. Well, almost everyone (I'm talking about YOU, Dimple :) ) Yes, Kristen, you WERE missed. Hope to see you tailgating before DUKE!
Unfortunately I can't even go to the game itself... but for a good reason. Yes ladies and Gentlemen... Vino da Leone is BACK. The first year went fairly well, and this year we have no choice but to raise the bar. Papa Leone has got more grapes coming this year so just like Uncle Sam: WE NEED YOU!! That's right... September 18th (yes the day after the BC game) we are crushing grapes @ Noon. If you are around and have clean feet we need you help out... I'll be back with more information on what to expect this year. But expect good things. :)
One last thing! So all was said and done with the show I did in Naugatuck. Now it's onto yet another show. But this time in Southington. (woo hoo no more 1/2 hour commutes one way...) I was hesitent at first but so far I'm definitely enjoying it. We're performing Stephen Schwartz's CHILDREN OF EDEN. Same guy that wrote Godspell and Pippen. So the score is pretty good. We start acting on Monday. The people in the cast are great and I'm looking forward to seeing where this show takes us. Anyone that is interested, it runs in November around the 16th through the 20th, I think. Admission is Free...Donations excepted (a la Passion Play style). I'll be keeping you posted as this progresses.
Alright, this ought to tide you over for a little bit. I have a little something that I've been bouncing around in my head, but I'll save that for another night. (Aww man, I HATE it when he does that!)
Sorry... but the movies are calling. BIG Y TOMORROW MORNING!!!
Night y'all.
I'm dead on the surface, but I am screaming underneath...
